It's that time of year again - yippee! In 2012 Prologue and Sticky Stories will be shadowing these awards.
Prologue (age 10-13) - Carnegie Medal: outstanding books for children age 10-15.
Sticky Stories (age 5-7) - Kate Greenaway Medal: best picture books for children 3-8.
What we do
We'll be reading the shortlisted books for the Medal we're shadowing, having fun at workshop with games and activities based on them, enjoying choosing writing and art/craft projects inspired by the books from a collection created by me. I write all the materials myself and there's not a worksheet in sight! In addition, Prologue members receive personal written feedback on their writing projects.
In addition, members can enjoy setting up and running our own webpage on the Carnegie Shadowing site. Children design the page; upload their pictures, reviews and blogs; create polls; write author profiles - and ultimately vote for which book they think should win.
The shortlists will be announced on 27 March and the winner of each award declared on 14 June.

We meet in Guildford Library on Mondays.
Prologue: 11.40-12.40;
Sticky Stories 12.45-1.45.
The dates for the summer term are: 16 April, 14 May, 11 June, 9 July.
Cost: Prologue £60; Sticky Stories £40.
