The Redwall Series by Brian Jacques
Recommended by Delilah, Prologue
Redwall Abbey is a haven for all animals of Mossflower Wood. Founded by Martin the Warrior, it is run by a group of benevolent mice. The creatures have lots of adventures and vanquish many foes. I love these books because Brian Jacques never lets us forget that he's writing about animals. I really care about the characters. They make me laugh and especially cry. My favourite is The Legend of Luke. If you haven't read them already, try them!
